we're closing

Farewell, not goodbye

They say nothing lasts, but we know that’s not true, I mean, have you ever seen a 70 year old Flexsteel sofa? Those things will be here long after we’re all gone. That being said, Revival Lane as we all know it is going through some big changes. After lengthy deliberation and many late nights, Jacob and I have decided to close our retail store in Appleton. For the good of our family, sanity, and finances, we have to let the big store go. We do plan to retain our business and come back in a way that makes sense for us in the new year, likely a booth in an antique mall. As soon as we know, we’ll let you know!

Our regulars and friends who have supported us through the years know that it is really just Jacob and I behind the scenes at the shop- with much appreciated help from friends from time to time. This is a big business for two people with a small child to run by themselves. We’re sure we could turn the numbers around if we really buckled down… but we have been buckled down for so long that we are realizing all the things we lost in the process of our business growing so much so fast. Too often, we have to divide and conquer, an rarely do we get to spend our time together as a family, when we are so busy with the shop- sourcing vintage, cleaning it, restoring it, marketing, pickups, deliveries.. It has been quite a ride, and one that we’re ready for a break from, frankly.

This business started in 2020 borne of our shared love for thrifting, hitting estate sales, and finding weird old stuff in cool places. We want to build back from a place of fun, where we can better serve our family while still delighting our customers with our unique and affordable finds. We still thoroughly believe in the mission of bringing new life to old things, and finding new homes for treasures that have a lot of life left to live!

So what happens now? We are going to be cutting deep discounts to completely clear out our storefront- starting this weekend at 50% off everything (except a small handful of consigned furniture pieces). We can also offer deeper discounts for bulk buys for vendors with Resale Tax IDs. We also need to find someone to take over our lease at the Edison center, so if you know someone looking for retail or warehouse space, please feel free to reach out. We plan to wrap up our liquidation by September 30th. If you’ve had your eye on something, the sooner you get in the more likely it will be there for you.

We’ve loved serving all of you, and we look forward to coming back a little more rested and with fresh finds in 2025! Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you all real soon.
